The Great Move

We did it! we graduated, we celebrated our first wedding anniversary, we moved all of our belongings 2,000 miles away from Utah, and unpacked our things here:

and we feel blessed to call this home for a while. Things have certainly changed from our lives in utah...there are no snow cones in Alaska, no shorts, no outdoor swimming pools or lagoon parks. Right now there are no sunsets, or sunrises.  The nearest Cafe Rio is a 90 hour drive away in Washington (but I keep my punch card in my wallet just in case).

We live in the type of place where a stranger will stop your husband in the grocery store to ask if the Blackhawks beat the Bruins (that's NHL talk, folks). And, naturally, Alex's iphone is really just a vehicle for ESPN updates, so he's making lots of friends.

We also have to wear bugspray like perfume  get to do lots of outdoors stuff!

This weekend we hiked to a deserted mine shaft--and got to reconnect with everyone we had been missing when we lived in Utah.

So blah blah blah I love it...
but seriously if someone would overnight me a
pork barbacoa salad
it would be much appreciated.
